Spooky Scary Sceletons: Halloween Tag

Hello everyone! Since it's almost Halloween, I figured I'd get into the festivities by doing a Halloween tag. Halloween is always a fun holiday for me, what about you? Have you done this tag before? Let me know in the comments below!


1. Favorite Halloween movie?
 To be honest, I don't really watch a lot of horror or Halloween movies, so I don't have a lot to choose from. (Don't worry, I'm getting together with one of my friends for a movie marathon to amend that.) From what I've watched though, I enjoyed Corpse Bride quite a bit.


2. What age did you stop trick-or-treating?
 I honestly can't remember. Sometime in my mid-teens.
3. Favorite Halloween Costume you have ever been?
 Hmmm, this is a hard one. I've had a lot of cool costumes over the years thanks to crafty and creative parents, though one of my favorites was when I got to be an astronaut. My dad made the helmet and backpack and they had LED lights and switches and it was really cool.

4. What are you going to be this year?
 Well, so far I've been a circus ringleader and Etzio from Assassin's Creed, I might do Ryuko from Kill la Kill if I have another opportunity to dress up.
5. Do you like haunted attractions?
 Yuppers. I try to visit my favorite haunted house every year, though this year's been pretty busy, so I might not make it to one this year.
6. Vampires or werewolves?
 Vampires. Not those sparkly ones though.

7. Favorite Halloween Candy?
 Reeses Pumpkins.

8. Do you decorate your house?
 Somewhat. I had a lot of fun the last two years, but I've been super busy this year and haven't gotten around to decorating my apartment normally fully much less adding Halloween decorations...
9. Least favorite Halloween costume?
 Well, going off my parent's memory, the year I was a shark. I wanted to be a friendly shark, but everyone was acting all scared and it made me upset, so I changed into my old bunny costume that fortunately still fit.

10. Have you ever repeated a costume and what was it?
 As I just mentioned, I dressed up as a bunny twice when I was younger. More recently, I've dressed up as Harley Quinn multiple times for Halloween. I've also done a couple of cosplays for Halloween in addition to wearing them to a convention.
11. Do you believe in ghosts?
 Vaugely, yes. I believe that spirits do visit this world, but generally not in the same way that ghosts are usually presented. Also, I feel that malicious "ghosts" are something different from a typical spirit.

12. Scariest Halloween?
 I honestly can't really think of a Halloween I considered scary overall. I remember I used to be terrified of the haunted houses my church used to put together when I was little, but now I love haunted houses (as long as someone else is with me, that is).

Common White Girl Tag

"Why the heck are you doing the white girl tag? Isn't that, like, super old?" Because why the heck not. I was originally going to do this in a video format, but I have more time for typing than I do video editing at this point in time. Don't want to go throwing horribly long, unedited videos up when I could take less time to type up a blog article. n_n Onwards to the tag!

•  Favorite Starbucks drink? 

That strawberry thingie. With the wipped cream on top.

• How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? 

Depends on the day. 30-45 minutes on a work day 15 minutes to 3 hours on an off day. Because sometimes I just want to sit wrapped in a blanket watching YouTube instead of changing. ^^;;

• How many selfies do you take on a daily basis? 

When I'm dressed up, four to five to get a good one. Work days, pretty much never unless I dress up after.

• How many IG followers and pics do you have? 

What is this IG you speak of? (Iiiii kinda don't have any pictures up on mine, and I kinda forgot the password...)

• Do you ever say “LOL” or “OMG” out loud? 

How else am I supposed to say "LOLibrary" and "OMG! AP's new print is out!!!" ;)

• Do you wear the same clothing item more than once? 

Nooooo... *totally wears the same t-shirt and jeans all the time*

• Are you racist? 

Of course I am. Elves are the superior race. Much better than those hairy dwarves or furry little halflings. ;)

• How many tweets do you have? 

Uhhh, twelve point two eight? And a half.

• Instagram, Twitter, or Tumblr? 

Instittblr? 

• What do you spend most of your time doing? 

Watching Castle and bemoaning the rate I'm buring through episodes...

• Who are your favorite YouTubers? 

NigaHiga, tadleesmith, and Lovely Lor.

• How often do you do your nails? 

Constantly. I keep a file and a clear coat in my bag. (Seriously, I never know when I need them.)

• Are you a shopaholic? 

*Hides last night's shopping bags* No. Not at all. *five boxes arrive in mail* I swear, I'm not a shopaholic.

• How many times have you watched Mean Girls? 

Only once. But it keeps calling out for me to watch it again. And again. And again...

• Do you own a lot of clothes? 

Do I have space in my room for any more clothes would probably be the better question...

• Do you take pictures of your food before you eat it? 

You mean before I devour it while it's still warm? Not really.

• Do you wear makeup everyday? 

It's the only hobby I'm regular about. ^^;;

• What are your average grades in school? 

What is this school of which you speak?

• How do you usually style your hair? 

*wakes up* Meh. *applies fiber gum* Hrm. *attacks with comb* Mrrrr. Today is a good day for a wig.

• Do you always look presentable? 

Does zombie count as presentable? Because then yes, yes I am always a presentable zombie.

5 Un-Lolita Confessions

Hello everyone! So today I thought I'd do 5 "confessions" about me that are not what is typically considered Lolita. I've seen similar videos with other alternative styles, such as a Goth one where the lady making the video confessed to having a hot pink tracksuit she had intended to sew skulls or something on, but never had. I was going to do 10, buuut I can only think of five. So here begins...

My 5 Un-Lolita Confessions

1.I don't like tea.

   Despite the fact that tea is, in a way, an integral part of Lolita fashion with meetups being held at tea houses or having tea parties, I just don't like tea. I've tried different kinds, iced and hot and just generally don't care for the taste. A few years back when I held a tea party I went so far as to drink lemonaide out of a tea cup...

2. I like wresting.

   I've always been more of a tomboy, so I like wrestling with my guy friends or grappling with them. I usually lose due to less upper body strength, but hey, I'm a bro too y'all.

3. Most of my friends are average guys.

   I have a total of one female friend, and she's practically a guy. All my other friends are my bros. Some of them cosplay, but none of them are into Lolita or any other Japanese streetstyles...

4. I hate pink.

   And yet for some reason I have a ton of pink stuff. Go figure.

5. I don't wear circle lenses or wigs with Lolita.

   Circle lenses are very much a newer thing in Lolita. I have yet to get any partially due to how I choose to allocate my spending money, but mainly because I want to be safe about the whole thing. I'd rather not end up with damaged vision or missing an eye or something, so I'm being very careful with my research and ensuring I know as much about what can go wrong as possible before actually taking the dive. Wig wise, I don't really have any Loliable wigs and I prefer my natural hair most of the time anyways. I may add some extensions or clip on ponytails though since my hair's rather short currently (Stay tuned next week for how that happened!).
